Website and Tools Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of sipglobally.com and its tools (the "Site"), operated by Systematic Index Partners Ltd., trading as SIP Global (Alberta Corporate Registry no. 2027853205), Calgary, Alberta, Canada. By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. Trades with SIP are governed separately by the SIP Standard Terms and Conditions.
2. Indicative information only
Everything on the Site, including market pages, reference sheets, specifications, grades, origins, tenors and any levels shown, is general and indicative. It is not an offer, a quote, a commitment to trade or a recommendation. A price or term is firm only when confirmed in writing by a SIP trader against a stated side, quantity and delivery window. See the Disclaimer.
3. Tools
The HS code lookup, landed cost calculator, container loading calculator and commodity unit and price converter are provided "as is" and "as available", free of charge and without warranty of any kind. Results depend on the inputs and assumptions you provide and on reference data that may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Tariff, duty, tax, freight and classification outcomes are determined by customs and other authorities, not by these tools. Verify any result with a licensed customs broker, carrier or adviser before relying on it. The tools run in your browser and we do not receive what you enter.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the Site or its servers.
- Do not use automated means to scrape the Site at a rate or volume that affects its operation, or to bypass rate limits or the spam-trap field on forms.
- Do not submit false, misleading or unlawful information, or information about another person without authority.
- Do not use the Site in breach of applicable law, including sanctions and export control law.
5. Intellectual property
The Site, its text, data compilations, design, logos and software are owned by or licensed to SIP and protected by copyright and other laws. You may view the Site and use tool outputs for your own internal business purposes. You may not copy, republish, sell or build a competing data product from the Site content without our written permission. SIP and SIP Global are marks of Systematic Index Partners Ltd.
6. Information you send us
Information you send through the Site forms is handled under our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you are entitled to send it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
7. Links
The Site may link to third-party websites such as regulators and public data sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices. A link is not an endorsement.
8. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and all content are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. SIP does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SIP and its directors, officers, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site or the tools, or from reliance on their content, even if advised of the possibility. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to CAD 100 in aggregate. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Indemnity
You will indemnify SIP against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Site, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Changes and availability
We may change the Site, the tools or these terms at any time. The effective date shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or withdraw any part of the Site without notice.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. The courts of Alberta, sitting in Calgary, have exclusive jurisdiction, except that nothing limits mandatory consumer or data protection rights you may have in your home jurisdiction.
