Disclaimer
1. Indicative pricing
Prices, levels and market information on this Site are indicative only and may change without notice. SIP quotes a two-way market on request. Levels are firm only when confirmed in writing by a SIP trader against a stated side, quantity and delivery window, and then subject to the SIP Standard Terms and Conditions.
2. No advice
Nothing on this Site is investment, financial, trading, tax, accounting, legal or hedging advice, or a recommendation to enter any transaction. SIP is acting as a principal counterparty to its own account and its interests may differ from yours. Obtain independent professional advice before making decisions based on anything on this Site.
3. No offer or solicitation
The Site does not constitute an offer, invitation or solicitation to the public to buy or sell any security, derivative, commodity contract or other financial instrument, in any jurisdiction. It does not constitute a public offering under any securities law.
4. Eligible commercial counterparties only
SIP deals only with commercial counterparties acting in the course of business, such as producers, processors, merchants, traders, consumers and other professional market participants, who have been approved by SIP. SIP does not deal with retail or consumer clients. Access to the Site does not mean that a product or service is available to you in your jurisdiction.
5. Tools and reference data
The HS code lookup, landed cost calculator, container loading calculator, unit converter, reference sheets and specifications are provided for general information. Their output is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete or current, and is not a customs ruling, a tax determination, a freight quote or an engineering or safety assessment. Verify results with the relevant authority or a qualified professional before relying on them.
6. Regulatory status
SIP is a physical commodity counterparty and broker. Commodity, derivative and securities regulation varies by jurisdiction and by instrument, and the way it applies to SIP's activities, including cash, forward, option, collar and swap structures between commercial parties, depends on the facts of each trade and the counterparty's location. SIP does not hold itself out as a registered dealer, adviser or investment fund manager under securities or derivatives law except where it states so in writing. Information about SIP's regulatory status will be published here as it is confirmed.
7. Forward-looking and third-party information
Statements about future prices, supply, demand or conditions are views and not predictions or assurances. Information from third parties is believed to be reliable but is not verified by SIP. Past levels are not a guide to future levels. Commodity prices can be volatile and trading carries risk of loss.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SIP accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on information on this Site. See also the Website and Tools Terms of Use.
