Grosso/Especial (Type A) grade frozen acai (Euterpe oleracea) pulp, minimum 14 percent total solids by MAPA IN 37/2018, seed-free, unfermented, sourced from riverine varzea smallholder cooperatives around Igarape-Miri municipality, Para, Brazil.
Unfermented, sanitised frozen pulp of Euterpe oleracea, extracted with water and filtered, at or above 14% total soluble solids per MAPA IN 12/1999 (updated by IN 37/2018), the densest and highest commercial grade versus Medio (11-14%) and Fino (8-11%); anthocyanin (cyanidin-3-glucoside/cyanidin-3-rutinoside) content and absence of starch/colourant adulterants are the buyer-side verification points, not covered by the total-solids figure alone.

Shipment window
Harvest is when the ripe fruit bunch (cacho) is cut from the palm and taken the same or next day to a beating/pulping unit, because unrefrigerated fresh fruit spoils within about 24 hours; the pulp is then flash-frozen or freeze-dried at or near the point of harvest. Arrival is when a frozen or freeze-dried shipment typically lands in a consuming market, after processing, inspection and the ocean or air voyage.

Estuarine Para and Amazonas varzea, principal origin; the main harvest (safra) runs roughly August through December, when about 90 percent of the traditional-variety crop is cut, with a lighter counter-season (entressafra) production the rest of the year from managed groves and irrigation. Fruit is beaten and strained into pulp at origin within about 24 hours of cutting, then frozen and moved by river to Belem for cold-chain export.

What we quote, and how far out
We buy and sell spot cash prompt out to three months, physical delivered prompt out to six months and forward from three months to twelve months. We price floors and caps, fixed-price deals and storage and rental against a stated side, quantity and window, and anything past the dates above the same way. There is no cap on the dates we will look at.
A quote is firm only when a trader confirms it in writing against your side, quantity and delivery window.
Contract terms
Quantity, grade tolerance, delivery point, and delivery window are agreed in the trade confirmation and prevail over anything published here. Quality is established at loading by an independent inspection agency nominated by SIP and acceptable to the counterparty, unless another basis is agreed in writing. Documentation, certificates of origin, and any phytosanitary, food safety, or conformity certificates are supplied as available for the grade and origin. The counterparty is responsible for import permits, duties, tariffs, and regulatory clearance at destination, and for confirming that the grade is admissible there. Title and risk pass at the agreed delivery point on the agreed Incoterm. Payment terms are agreed per trade. SIP may require a deposit, a letter of credit, or documents against payment. All trades are subject to SIP standard terms and conditions. Disputes are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, and resolved by binding arbitration in Calgary, Alberta.
